I was browsing Deviantart earlier and when I went to a picture it exited me out saying my computer is infected, I just restarted it. Was this an attempt to give me a virus on my computer because Deviantart is pretty popular so I would think that Deviantart is completely safe since so many people are on it. So does it give people viruses?

Maybe your PC was infected to begin?
In all the years I've been using dA it hasn't given me any such trouble.

I'm on DeviantART every day and I can safely say that it has no viruses. Then again I'm using a Mac. But maybe you got it by clicking on a link which wasn't safe.

I bet it was fake and was there to make me think I was infected so I would download "Virus Protection" only to give me a virus.

Never had any problems with Deviant Art so-far. But then I'm running a Mac so thats not going to be helpful sorry.
Never had a virus on a Mac yet. So I'm not too worried.

Dude, the site's safe. I've used it for well over two years now without it giving me trouble. That thing came from somewhere else.
